We are recruiting heavily for the following areas which include Lodge Hill, Yardley, Perry Barr, Hall Green, Selly Oak, Northfield, Hall Green and Ladywood constituency teams are looking to urgently recruit a number of post qualified social workers to join their teams.

• You will be home based and supporting the constituency you are assigned to ie. visits into the community assigned to the constituency team.
• Each constituency team is exceptionally high functioning and well supported by Senior Practitioners and Team Managers.
• The teams consist of a variety of newly qualified and very experienced social work practitioners.
• There are 6 social work apprentices assigned to constituency teams to support completion of their social work degree.
• Birmingham City Council social work teams are at the forefront of implementing the 3 conversations model and have achieved great success regarding increasing the take up of Direct Payments for the constituencies.
• All social work teams have enhanced their resilience and maintained business continuity throughout Covid lockdown, and now we need to enhance the level of support to these social work teams to enable them to re-engage fully with citizens following Covid isolation.
• All social work teams are successful in that its managers maintain an ‘open approach’ in regard to case discussions and support.
• In return we are looking for social workers that are 5 years post qualified and have experience working in an Adults team setting. you must have proven ability to manage a caseload, familiarity with 3- conversations model; safeguarding experience is essential.

We are ideally looking for social workers that are ideally Carefirst or eclipse proficient; influential, supportive, team players. We are also looking for social workers who can commence placement quite quickly, following interviews. Of utmost importance we need social workers with safeguarding experiences.
