This is an exciting Mechanical design role that has recently become available in Sheffield. Our client is a high quality, client focused and highly reputable consultancy that is looking to expand their team by bringing in someone with a background in Mechanical Engineering. Our client’s team includes certified specialists including iSBEM Competent Persons, Low Carbon Consultants, EPC Assessors and BREEAM Assessors.

The ideal candidate will;

• Manage their time wisely
• Make new relationships with clients and maintain existing relationships
• Have experience of design solutions including conception and completion involving calculations, specifications and drawings that are aligned to RIBA stages and BSRIA BG6
• Have a qualification within a Building Services Degree or higher educational qualification (HNC/HND)
• Be working towards IENG registration
• Have experience with IES modelling

Responsibilities:

• Advise and support clients on how energy is spent and develop strategies for how it can be conserved
• Work within a team to create reports that involve performance and specifications
• Ensure that the design and maintenance of building systems meet legislative and health and safety requirements
• Undertake site survey and capture data relevant to the appointment such as on-going site inspections and defect recording
