We are working on an exciting position with a further education college in the Essex/East Anglia area who are looking for a permanent Building Maintenance and Construction Lecturer to join their team.
The successful candidate would be based in the College’s construction department, and would be tasked with teaching building maintenance and associated subjects – specialising in wet trades including plastering, tiling and brickwork.
The salary for this position is between £28,329.6 and £29,014 p/a, which would also include a teacher’s pension, Staff Development training days, and a holiday allowance which will not including Bank Holidays and closure days).

To be eligible for the position, you MUST have:
* Education to level 3 or above and/or a professional qualification in construction-based discipline.
* Minimum of Level 2 qualification in English and Mathematics GCSE 4+ or C and above / CSE Level 1 / O-Level C or above / Level 2 Adult Numeracy or Literacy or equivalent
* Level 5 Teaching Qualification / completing within 3 years of employment or 3 years of the first available course
* Significant industrial experience within the construction / building maintenance sector
* Supervisory experience and/or experience in dealing directly with customers, clients or students
The College are able to consider candidates who do not yet have a teaching qualification, as they would be able to put you through a teaching qualification while you are in the role.
