Bookkeeper – Part Time

Salary: £26,000 – £36,000 per year

c£20-30k pro-rata depending on experience

We are looking for an experienced bookkeeper to work on a part time basis for our highly successful Nottinghamshire based client. This is a busy, hands on and varied role involving multiple companies.

Reporting into the company accountant you will help look after the day-to-day financial needs of a £16million turnover business, keeping records accurate up to date and complete

The role of bookkeeper will include:

• Day-to-day bookkeeping with use of Sage
• Bank reconciliation, assisting with VAT and CIS Returns
• Purchase ledger including supplier payments
• Sales ledger invoice processing, weekly and monthly statements
• Bank reconciliation, month end, balance sheet
• Intercompany accounting
• Management reporting, weekly and monthly meetings and liaising with the company accountants as required

The ideal candidate for the role of bookkeeper will be –

• An experienced bookkeeper with commercial experience
• Good working knowledge of CIS and VAT
• Experienced in using Sage accounting software
• Experience of completing management accounts to trial balance including cash flow forecasting would be an advantage but not essential
• Experience of working with intercompany or multiple company accounts
• AAT Qualified or equivalent ideal but not essential
• Good use of MS Excel and Sage systems
