Bookkeeper

Salary: £27,600 – £30,000 per year

My client is a great firm – a modern, medium sized firm of accountants based in good offices in Sale – they are looking for a talented Bookkeeper to join a small team who deliver first class accountancy services to SME clients.

So you will be a Bookkeeper and a keeper and developer of client relationships – able to build trust and deliver a personable service.

You will know VAT and HMRC inside out and be well versed in Xero and cloud accounting.

You will enjoy the challenge and variety of working with a portfolio of clients and being part of a key team in the company – this team is admired both internally and externally – so it’s a good team to be a part of.

You will also be able to work independently and support the Accountant Team Leader with the training and development of trainees on the team.

Your Day to Day will be:

Bookkeeping and accounting support for clients – individuals, partnerships and limited companies – including reconciliations, payroll journals, VAT returns and management accounts

Responding to client queries

Preparation of Statutory Accounts and Corporation Tax Returns

Working with the Manager to ensure smooth running and development of the team

Your qualifications and experience will include:

Xero qualified

AAT Level 4

Good education to A Level (min)

Good technical knowledge

Understanding of owner managed business

Please note – you do not have to have worked in an accountancy firm – although that would be very welcome – it’s a Bookkeeper with true talent that’s needed here.

Where will you be working?

At the moment it’s all from home – you can book half a day in the office if required

After full Lockdown it’s envisaged that it will only be Tuesdays and Wednesdays in the office

When we are at full return to work a mix to suit you and the team will be agreed.

Working Hours are 9am to 5pm but flexibility can be given – 8.30 to 4.30 or 9.30 to 5.30 – let me know what will work best for you.
