Salary: £31,200 – £36,000 per year
This leading manufacturer of original equipment for the Automotive Industry, are recruiting NOW for a Maintenance Technician, to join a Facilities team looking after all services and processes within the factory including the building. You will come from a site services, facilities, building services background, with both electrical and mechanical skills, and ideally Apprentice Trained. In return, they offer a salary of c30K including shift allowance, for working Monday to Friday, rotating morning and afternoon shifts, plus benefits including healthcare scheme, pension, life assurance, subsidised facilities and 31 days holiday.

Job Purpose:-
To maintain all services to the factory, processes and fabric of the building and the installation of new services (incorporating Electrical and Mechanical roles). To carry out daily readings / records to assure quality, knowledge and plant critical monitors as directed by Facilities Team Leader.
Job Duties:-
Reporting to the Facilities Team Leader, working in a team of 6 other Engineers.
Responsible for maintaining all services to the factory, processes and buildings, and the installation of new services.
Carry out daily plant checks, readings, records and repairs.
Escalate any abnormalities in plant, building, services, supplies or equipment immediately.
Planned reactive maintenance to all factory services, equipment and buildings (internal & external).
Responsible for all electrical testing, switching of high voltage supplies (11KV)
PAT (Portable Appliance Testing) and updating the PAT register.
Maintain factory AHU / AC systems, fire alarms, and all site services to the factory including electric, air, process cooling water, soft water, de-ionised water, non-pot and potable water.
Installation of new services and machinery ensuring they meet legislative requirements.
Control and monitor Legionella throughout the factory, and waste water treatment.
The Ideal Candidate:-
Apprentice Trained in an Electrical or Mechanical discipline or equivalent
Experience Maintenance Technician from a Multi Skilled and Site Services, Facilities, Building Services background
Experience of LP & HP compressed air systems, fluid pumps, motor drives maintenance
Experience of H&S related systems within a facilities department.
Good communication skills, an ability to work alone or as part of a team.
Ability to read site plans/drawings/layouts.
C&G 236 Part 1 & 2 or C&G 2330 qualifications or C&G 2377 PAT testing certificate
Ability to read wiring diagrams & schematics.
16th/17th Edition IEE Qualification.
Knowledge of L8 Legionella, pipe fitting and plumbing skills
