Salary: £60 – £72 per hour

We are working with a Global leader in their field to find a Project Engineer to join their team. Despite being a corporate the local office has a distinct “family feel” to it and very low staff turnover. Responsible for the management of contracts from handover of order until final inspection release/delivery and acceptance at site

Liaise with clients, to provide specific project management services to support the identified and agreed customer needs

 Overall responsibility for the control and flow of all documentation and the preparation of data dossiers for suppliers and customers

  • Provide technical assistance and input as required
  • Participate in the specification, sourcing and negotiations of sub orders as required
  • Conduct program milestone reviews, track open issues and report the status along with corrective actions using available and agreed tools (including CRM)
  • Interface with Quality Department and oversee the preparation of documentation
  • Manage the Customer interface (Project Engineering, Customer Engineering, Customer Purchasing)
  • Ensure all contracts meet set SLA’s
  • Attend face to face customer meetings including site visits, kick off meetings and contract reviews as required
  • Manage warranty and post warranty issues and recovery activities as required
  • Maintain regular contact with key suppliers negotiating key terms of business requirements
  • Liaise and negotiate with other departments such as Sales, Operations, Quality and Finance
  • Support the Contracts Manager and wider team in the execution of our local and international contracts
  •  Lead CAD Drawing Creation, Library and Training

Education, Experience & Ability Requirements

• A minimum of three years contracts/projects/sales experience in engineered products – preferably valves and valve automation

• An understanding of the oil and gas industry specifications is preferred

• Engineering background preferred

• Excellent communication skills verbal and written

• Proven track record of working to tight deadlines and managing clients

• Computer literate – ideally experience with SAP or similar ERP system

• Educated to degree level or equivalent/suitable qualification

• CAD Trained/Fluency
