Hospitality – Regional NVQ Assessor

This is an excellent opportunity to change direction in your Hospitality career and train to become an Assessor, or for an experienced Assessor to join a strong and growing company.

Our supportive Work-Based Learning team are seeking a self-motivated and people focussed candidate to join our expanding team, covering the Birmingham area.

This exciting opportunity is field based across the region, open to qualified and non-qualified Assessors and will require frequent travel across various locations to coach learners throughout their qualifications. (You must have use of your own car).

For this vacancy we are looking for strong Hospitality & Catering professionals who specifically have solid Front of House experience (Bar Service/ Food Service/ Customer Service, Housekeeping),in order to deliver Hospitality Services, Food & Beverage L2 or L3.Strong experience at supervisory/deputy management or management level is essential for this role as well as GCSEs in Maths and English or equivalent.

All Catering and Front of House professionals (with hands on experience) would make ideal candidates, including those that have experience of work based learning.

Essential requirements are:

• Excellent background in the Hospitality industry
• Ability to demonstrate sector knowledge – Front of House( to supervisory / management level)
• NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Hospitality Environment
• Functional Skills L(Mathematics, English & ICT) (at Level 2 or above)
• Knowledge of government funded employment and training programmes
• IT competent with working knowledge of Microsoft Office including spreadsheets
• A DBS (formerly CRB) check prior to commencement of role is required.

Salary & Benefits:

• A starting salary of £26,000per year
• 25 days Annual Leave plus Bank Holidays
• Business mileage at 45ppm from home
