Production Planner, NEW POSITION opportunity to join a company who are currently experiencing a large uplift in orders! Well established and respected specialist manufacturing company, backed by a parent organisation with a global presence. The business manufacture a range of high specification products and are one of the market leaders within their sector.

The Role: production planner / manufacturing planner
The production planner position is a new role within the company and as such represents an opportunity for the right candidate to “make the role their own” and is a genuine chance to make a significant difference to company performance.
Responsibilities include:-
Working closely with demand planners to create and maintain a master production schedule to ensure all parts (existing and NPI) are planned and manufactured against works orders to achieve lead-time and are in accordance with the company requirements.
Utilising the master production schedule to generate a demand for tooling to give visibility to Engineering to enable them to effectively plan changes, maintenance etc.
Review, maintain and improve process lead-times, both physical and system liaising with relevant production staff where necessary
Communicate and report all issues affecting achievement of production and customer targets to appropriate management including material shortages and component availability
Ensure that BOMs and procedures are followed as appropriate, reporting any variances between drawings to ensure compliance. Gain appropriate authority when deviations/ concessions arise
Maintain finished goods and WIP inventory that generate customer service levels OTD of 90% or above
Maintenance and management of ERP system and MPS system to ensure accurate data
The Candidate: production planner / manufacturing planner
Must have extensive production planning experience gained within the manufacturing sector, in a position which has included planning for multiple production lines.
Must have a good knowledge of MS Excel and ERP / MRP systems.
Master production scheduling (MPS) experience would be an advantage.
Good communication skills and an outgoing personality are required.
