We are looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor for a well-established main contractor based in Cheshire.

It is a great opportunity for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join a main building contractor who deliver Private and Public sector clients, across a diverse range of sectors including education, industrial, healthcare, extra care, and commercial. Projects are new build valuing up to £25m and all projects are North West based.

The company are looking for a Quantity Surveyor to work on a permanent basis and have multiple projects running across the North West in Manchester, Warrington, Liverpool and surrounding areas.

Role & Responsibilities:

• day to day cost control
• risk management
• subcontractor management
• preparation of valuations
• financial reporting
• general site surveying administration
• recording and valuing of variations

Experience Required:

• You must have a proven track record in quantity surveying within the residential sector ideally on new build social housing schemes.
• You must have excellent communication skills as the role will involve liaison with clients and their representatives.
• You must have a high degree of commercial acumen and good IT skills.
• A track record in commercial management from within a recognised contracting organization.
• Experience of new build contracting.
• Be a competent negotiator who is able to agree rates / prices and sub-contracts without compromising company margins
• Demonstrate a high level of technical competence combined with commercial awareness and understanding
• Be an excellent communicator and have demonstrable experience of dealing with both supply chain members and clients.
