The client is a dominant force in their field and provide fantastic service contracts within the waste / environmental sector and they are looking for a strong man manager / operations manager to manage a specific high level contract and deliver against SLAs and agreed requirements. Problem solves, manage issues and deliver to budget requirements. The client has many, many years experience and is looking for a new operations manager through growth to manage the contract and report to the General Manager. The Role:

* The Waste Management Operations manager role is 100% man management and it is to manage a team that consists of over 200 people including supervisors and managers through to ground level staff and drivers etc
* The role is to manage SLAs, deal with all issues at all levels and to delegate. The role requires you to work to targets and within budget requirements
* You will be involved in all things recruitment from HR, disciplinary and hiring off staff, appraisals and the like
* This waste management opportunity is to also deal with a unionised workforce
* The operations manager will have responsibility for the smooth running of this high value high level service contract
* The role is to report to the General Manager and is Yorkshire based

The Person:

* You must have been in a previous service industry operations role – ideally waste management
* You must have managed people at all levels and worked with big contracts
* You must have worked in a unionised workforce environment and understand what this means
* You will be looking for a step up from a smaller company or smaller contract or have managed a high value contract in the service sector before
* You will have managed budgets, people, recruitment, training, HR issues, SLAs
* You will have a strong character, be a strong man manager and be able to delegate
* You will have a passionate, enthusiastic personality and good eye for detail
* You will live commutable to, in or around the Yorkshire / Derbyshire/ Cheshire area
* You will be organised, professional, FLEXIBLE and hard working

The Package:

* £60,000basic salary with a 20% of salary bonus plus excellent pension (Negotiable)
* You will have 6pts or less on your driving licence and will be given a company car
