HR Project Support Unit Manager

We have an exciting opportunity for a HR Project Support Unit (PSU) Manager on a 12 months Fixed Term Contract to join our HR Shared Services Team to work in Newcastle.

This is a new and unique role within the business formulated to co-ordinate large the shared service delivery aspects of HR projects across UK. Projects will include the mobilisation and demobilisation of projects, large annual programmes such as salary reviews or bonus reviews working in partnership with HR Employee Services, HR Business Partners and HR Directors.

As, HR Project Support Unit Manager, you will be:

Ensuring that the PSU adopts standard project methodology throughout the day to day delivery of the HR projects its supports.
Developing efficient processes, tools, and governance within the PSU.
Developing a regular dashboard of the PSU’s activity.
Motivating, developing and engaging the team to ensure a high performance culture is embedded within the team.
Managing the service and query resolution within agreed SLA’s (Service Level Agreement’s) and ensuring legal compliance.
Ensuring all PSU activities are sufficiently scoped, planned, impact assessed and evaluated.
Working closely with key stakeholder’s to gain a forward facing view of business activity and ensuring that the PSU team are best prepared to support.
Ensuring that business escalations are resolved effectively and are seen as opportunities to improve and create stronger relationships through effective service improvements.

You will have a:

Proven track record of managing HR project activity.
Experience of managing and leading people or delivering through people.
Experience of managing a wide range of stakeholders.
Experience and understanding of customer service within Share Service Environment.
Experience of managing HR systems / shared service projects.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Experience of working with a programme management office framework.
Ability to quickly gain the confidence of the Business and staff through excellent communication and influencing skills.
