Finance Manager

Salary: £42,000 – £44,400 per year

James Stevens Associates are deligted to be representing a charitable client based in Bolton who are looking to bolster their Finance Department with a Finance Manager.

The role is a particulary urgent one, so we are looking for someone either immediately available or avaiable within a weeks notice.

Salary: £42,000 – £44,400

Location: Bolton (ideally in office with some flexility)

Finance Manager – Main Tasks and Responsibilities:

* Take ownership of all finance and accounting processes to the trial balance stage;

* Balance sheet reconciliations;

* Ownership of the management accounts to the trial balance stage;

* Cash flow monitoring;

* Preparation of weekly cash flow report and daily cash position report;

* Ensure smooth running of the day-to-day accounting processes against set KPI’s;

* Assist in the preparation of the year-end audit files and statutory accounts in line with relevant legislation (FRS 102, SORP);

* Oversight and supervision of the accounts payable and accounts receivable functions ensuring that targets are achieved, understanding that the team deal with a large number of transactions;

* Measure financial policies and procedures against actual performance;

* Contribute to overall goals of the Finance Function through active participation in team and departmental meetings, and supporting internal initiatives;

* Oversight of the monthly payroll process;

* Daily line management of the finance team;

Finance Manager – Skills/Preferred knowledge

* Part Qualified in a relevant accountancy qualification is desirable, however significant experience of working in a similar role is essential;

* Experience of line management within a finance department;

* Ability to work in a fast-paced finance function with a determination to review and streamline processes and procedures;

* Possess strong commercial insight;

* Be well organised and able to handle multiple projects within tight timelines;

* Be comfortable working in a dynamic team environment with an appetite for a challenge;
