Team Leader

We are recruiting for a Team Leader for our client to work in their Finance Operations Service Centre in the centre of Taunton.

This role is an extremely diverse role and will require candidates with the following skills and have the ability to carry out these duties:

Building strong working relationships with suppliers and stores
Provide extensive back up support for company stores including dealing with and validating requests for stores for non stock items
Dealing with all orders for stores and ensuring health and safety and abiding by current legislation
Switchboard queries and being first point of contact for stores calling in. The team take around 2500 calls per week.
Managing a team of 12 staff including appraisals, setting KPI’s and doing monthly and yearly personal appraisal setting
Being readily available for queries from staff as they may be dealing with complex situations
Raising the profile of the department
Identifying and reducing unnecessary spend and reducing costs
Negotiating with suppliers
Improving processes and sourcing products and services
Maintenance and accuracy of all system updates
Negotiating and analysing spend in line with business policy.

Service centre or retail background an advanantage
CIPS Part/qualified or by experience
Commercial awareness of the procure to pay process
Contract negotiations experience
In return you will receive a basic salary of 23K-26K plus excellent company benefits including 25% discount, 34 days holiday company pension scheme and onsite subsidised restaurant.
