Salary: £26,000 – £28,080 per year

To lead and support client accounts team on a day to day basis, ensuring all accounting tasks are carried out in accordance to company procedures and industry best practice. Ability to work under pressure, and have communication/leadership skills to move the team forward.

Duties would include:

• To support accounts staff with daily tasks, including daily, weekly and monthly planning for changes to workloads for each team member
• Monitoring and managing the performance of the Accounts Payable and Credit Control team
• To understand current procedures, review and train/re-train accounting staff with any required changes to such procedures
• Working towards achieving set targets, monitor that other team members achieve them.
• Ensure all staff are trained and cross trained in all major accounting tasks.
• Constant review of finance procedures to ensure they continue to meet company growth and changes in industry best practices also making sure that process manuals are in place.
• To assist with the development of staff/team KPI’s and standards.
• Regular contact with other property management departments to ensure highest standard of service provided to customers
• Keeping up to date with developments in the industry (i.e. legislation requirements and industry best practices)
• Provide support to sales and lettings teams on financial procedures and processes. Ensure compliance to financial procedures are adhered to by all departments.
• Monitoring and reporting team targets and achievements
• Daily team meetings to ensure satisfactory allocation of workloads.
• Point of contact for VIP customers (landlords, tenants, internal staff).
• Other project based roles to ensure compliance with corporate governance and regulations
• Reconciliation and control of client Petty Cash floats/banking
• Deputize for Client Accounts Manager
• Point of contact for escalated queries and resolving customer complaints
• Identifying, resolving or escalating systemic issues
• Accounts/ Suppliers Reconciliations

Skills/Experience:

• Proven team leadership experience and motivational skills
• At least 2 years proven experience in a busy Lettings clients accounting environment
• Proven ability to work on own initiative and support line manager.
• Proven ability to effectively communicate at all levels management/customers.
• Always put the customer first, understand client needs and expectations
• Organized, proactive and focused on team targets.
• Be able to make decisions and take ownership of issues on behalf of the finance department
• Proven knowledge of latest Estate Agency regulations and best practices
• Experience of CML/Radar software
• Knowledge of Sage Pay payment systems
• Excellent knowledge of MS Office and Outlook
