Home Care-Support Worker

Salary: £26,000 per year

Description

We are recruiting Home Care-Support Workers for Maidenhead – Windsor and Buckinghamshire; to provide personal, practical, social and emotional support to people in their own homes in a way that respects the dignity of the individual and promotes independence. 

Qualification – Essential

• GCSEs or equivalent to include Maths and English
• Training towards NVQ or QCF Level 2 if not already achieved
• Primary user –Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, Outlook,
• A full UK driving licence and access to a car

Essential – Skills, Abilities & Experience

• Ability to enable services users who use our services to maintain their hygiene and appearance
• Ability to enable services users to achieve physical comfort
• Experience in assisting in the preparation of meals, drinks and snacks
• Able to help services users to maintain a good level of nutrition and hydration
• Ability to assist with toileting, including emptying and cleaning of commodes, emptying and changing of catheter bags and the use of aids to continence such as pads
• Ability to service users to access and use toileting facilities
• Able to assist with cleaning, shopping, collection of pensions, paying of bills and laundry
• Ability to provide social support such as talking and listening to people who use our services, helping them maintain contact with family and friends
• Able to record all actions and information within the home in a clear, legible and professional manner
• Able to report all changes in the health and social circumstances as soon as practical
• Ability to receive, transmit, store and retrieve information in adherence with the General Data Protection Regulations.
• Ability to work as part of a team with colleagues and work closely with other agencies and District Nurses
• Able to contribute to the effectiveness of work teams.
• Availability to work evenings and weekends where required

Essential Compliance Requirements

• Three Years of Reference
• Enhance DBS check
• the full UK driving licence and have access to a car
• A pre-engagement screening is mandatory for this role
