Salary: £48,000 – £54,000 per year
The Business Development Manager will be responsible for the development and execution of a strategic approach to both direct and intermediated sales of pension and other products and to increase the number of companies operating schemes. As the Business Development Manager you will contribute to the achievement of business objectives to obtain a larger market penetration.
Key Responsibilities are to:
Meet and, where possible, exceed the minimum standards of sales targets in line with the sales objectives.
Identify and forge links with key target organisations for pension and other products.
Prioritise and build relationships with organisations through regular face to face meetings, telephone and e-mailing communications.
Create and implement account plans, setting objectives and strategies for each account.
As the Business Development Manager you will be responsible for shaping customers requirements to the benefit of the business and identify requirements for the development of new products.
Negotiation, rollout and monitoring of various deals and support activities.
Research customer and stakeholder profile for accurate positioning.
Assessing volume of business and profit potential, positioning and strategic alignment.
Examine and understand partner organisations structure and politics.
Responsible for the control and production of weekly, monthly and quarterly status reports against agreed KPIs.
Keep up to date with Financial Services and Industry issues.
As the Business Manager you will have knowledge and understanding of new and existing products in order to articulate features and benefits to key clients in order to secure corporate level business.
Extensive knowledge of employee benefits and pension products
Experience and understanding of sales processes
Presenting to clients at a senior management/board level.
As the Business Development Manager you will have the following skill set:
Minimum of 3 years financial services experience working with Employee Benefit Consultants, Independent Financial Advisers.
Ability to identify and convert new business opportunities.
Influencing and negotiating with multiple decision makers.
Ability to analyse reports and understand statistical information.
Strong planning and organisation skills.
As the Business Development Manager you will need to have excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills at senior and strategic levels
This is covering the Scottish Borders and Scotland, therefore this is a home based role for a 2 year fixed term contract
