Company – Provider of Energy Services and Facilities Management
Location: National with travel required
Salary: Up to £66,000 plus bonus, car and package
Our client are a global Energy provider, providing Energy services to the public and private sector including District Heating services, Energy services to Hospitals, Corporate Estates and School estates and they are widely recognized as the market leader in their filed in the UK.
We are recruiting for a Bid Manager to play a key role in the growth of this already successful business. This role will grow and develop with the business
The Role:
The Bid Manager will join part of a team to continue to develop a healthy pipeline in the healthcare sector who have a target to generate in year margin of £1m. Other duties will include
• Responsibility for the development of new energy schemes from tendering through to financial close
• Overseeing the business development process from initial interest through to submission of detailed proposals for new schemes including managing interfaces and resources from other parts of energy services (engineering, finance etc)
• Managing the governance process for submission of bids and entering into contracts
• Attending meetings and open days with potential customers as required across the UK
• Creating articulate bid responses and oversee the bid production and submission process
• Assist in the co-ordination of development activities including;
o Maintain and report on an up to date sales pipeline in an agreed format
o Develop and maintain relevant case studies
o Maintain up to date presentations in a suitable format
The suitable candidate will need to work as part of a team to pull together a complex engineering solution and package it to a customer making it simple and easy to comprehend. Qualifications or Required Experience:
Essential
• Extensive customer facing / relationship building expertise, to work directly with senior customers
• Ability to interpret legal agreements, extrapolate data and understand complex deliverables
• Ability to work / interface directly with key customers, external stakeholders and internal stakeholders
• Strong commercial skills to be able to identify and mitigate key risks
• Ability to lead, develop and motivate others
• Influencing & negotiating skills
• Excellent literacy skills and demonstrable delivery of high quality written reports and business cases
• Presentation skills
• Working knowledge of Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Outlook
Desirable:
• The application of energy saving technologies in buildings
• Legal experience e.g. drafting contracts
• Previous work on the Carbon Energy Fund framework
• Healthcare, district energy or higher education experience
