Salary: £34.42 per hour

BBL are currently looking for an Arts and Cultural Programme Manager to work for our Local Authority client in East London.

MAIN PURPOSE

Manage the Cultural Programme team.

Develop and deliver a range of ambitious, high quality arts and cultural programmes across the borough for a diverse community.

Support the Cultural Programme team in the delivery of services through a commissioning model.

Work with regeneration and other Council departments to contribute to the development and enhancement of the creative offer.

Support the delivery of the Arts Strategy, Arts for All – Great Arts and Culture in Waltham Forest working with the Head of Cultural Programme.

Lead the cultural programme team in the development, coordination and delivery of high quality distinctive arts and cultural programme and in the development of a commissioning framework to enable programme delivery through a range of partners.

Encouraging participation by a diverse range of residents and visitors.

Work with the Head of Cultural Programmes to maximise internally and externally generated income.

To advise, coordinate and deliver public art projects.

PERSON SPECIFICATION

Experience of delivering cultural programmes within a large / complex organisation, with expert technical /professional knowledge and experience.

Expert knowledge and understanding of the cultural sector; the requirements, systems, policy, practices, procedures, legislation, emerging development and major issues facing it.

Good knowledge of local government and wider sector / external influences.

Experience of effectively managing budgets and ensuring the delivery of services within agreed resources, either directly or through contracted services.

Proven ability to identify standards and performance requirements for own service area and where appropriate customer / partner organisations and effectively monitor and manage performance.

Experience of leading and sustaining partnerships both internally and externally.

Excellent customer service skills, with experience of resolving escalated / complex customer queries.

Excellent interpersonal and communication and presentation skills, with proven ability to communicate effectively and persuasively to a wide range of audiences.

Experience of devising and managing effective marketing of cultural programmes to diverse audiences.
