An excellent opportunity is available to join a $multibillion telecoms programme of works in Saudi Arabia as they enter a new phase of the project.
The position is Business Performance Manager and is a key position for the business, reporting directly to the Head of PMO.
The role functions will include the following
– The Performance Manager will have an organisational-wide remit to develop the key performance indicators (KPI) and analyse the outcomes from the PMO Planning and Resources process to evaluate the overall programme progress.
– The Performance Manager will be responsible to design the performance reporting model and required dashboards to both internal and customer facing reports through a centralised source of data within the PMO function.
– Tracking the progress and report the performance of the management trackers related to the programme. Providing high quality, proactive support for the Executives Team
– Assist the delivery team to improve their performance by providing the required data related to the status of their programme/projects.
– Manage communications activities to distribute information about the programme performance / strategic KPIs throughout the company
– Manage robust performance reporting processes, ensuring close monitoring of the company`s impact and success measures, and producing timely, accurate reports.
– Maintain the performance management system with performance indicators and key performance indicators, owners, targets and the organisation structure
– Analyse data, establishing trends in performance indicators and key performance indicators, identifying variance from target and working with colleagues to establish and document the cause of variance
The Performance Manager will have duties/responsibilities to include:
– Play a key and proactive role supporting the annual planning and performance reporting process.
– Assist in the identification, tracking and management of organisational risk
– Work with the Head of PMO to refine and improve templates and define the periodic performance and planning reports / strategy timeframes
– Organise and assist in the facilitation of performance workshops and overall awareness about the business performance and strategic KPIs
– With the Executives team, agree the content and structure for additional measurements and components of the performance plan / strategic KPIs
– Ensure that all objectives specified in annual plans are included within the scope of agreed projects, or are tracked by key performance indicators.
– Manage the process of compiling quarterly, mid-year, and year-end (and potentially other) reviews of progress against plans – co-ordinating input from colleagues and finalising documents to provide Executives Team with a transparent, robust, realistic view of overall programme progress
– Work with key performance indicator (KPI) owners to ensure that performance indicators have realistic, challenging targets, and that performance indicators evolve through the year as required to keep track of changing work plans
– Ensure the timely and accurate submission of data by performance indicator owners, and quality assure data to ensure validity
– Produce high quality reports from performance data for staff, Directors and Board meetings
– Act as the first point of call for performance management system queries
– Provide training on the performance management system for new users
Skills and experience required by the Business Performance Manager includes:
– Working with complex organisation performance management systems, co-ordinating the input of large amounts of data, data analysis and identification of issues and trends
– Compilation, review and quality assurance of formal project reports from across a large portfolio of change projects
– Strong sense of ownership, highly productive and efficient, with a business-like and delivery-focussed approach
– Analytical skills and the ability to identify key issues and make rational and logical judgements based on relevant information
– Able to think strategically, with the ability to plan effectively and work collaboratively with colleagues across the business
– Experience of designing Dashboards, implementing, and reporting performance metrics and KPIs
– Proven track record of delivery in similar role/s.
– Experience on Performance Management systems
– Expert knowledge of MS Office and Project
