Fabrication and Welding Technician

My client an established manufacturing business are seeking to recruit a Welding and Fabrication Engineer to join their team. The role offers the chance to work within a progressive business and offers a genuinely exciting career path.

Please see an outline of some of the duties below:

*Assist in the prototype production of new components prior to jig and fixture implementation.
*Validate new fixtures in order to verify standard times prior to being released into production.
*Develop fabrication and welding sequences and assist in the documentation of these sequences.
*Process, program and parameter setting of seam welder/plasma welder, robot welder, manipulators. *Trouble shooting, minor service, repair and maintenance issues.
*Assist in both establishing root cause and solution of ongoing quality problems.
*Assist Engineers in the design and implementation of new processes.

Person Specification:

*Experience of using Jigs and assembly fixtures to manufacture high quality repetitive components.
*Fully conversant with the TIG and MAG welding process with proven ability to weld mild steel components to BSEN 287/288 standards.
*Be a committed team player with emphasis on flexibility, productivity and be focused continuous improvement.
