Salary: £30,360 – £33,600 per year
The Company
Market-leading ice cream and frozen food wholesaler based on the East London and Essex border.
The Role
* This is a permanent, full-time role
* Manage a Team (6+) from picking and packing through to dispatch and replenishment.
* Plan, co-ordinate and monitor the receipt, order, assembly and dispatch of goods.
* Use space and mechanical handling equipment efficiently making sure quality and storage objectives are met.
* Management and update of our internal industry specific computer system (training will be given) by ensuring that the stock control system is up to date including accuracy of inventory and booking in of stock is timely and correct.
* Management and organisation of annual stock-takes to ensure the task is handled and delivered on time.
* Safeguarding and management of a clean and tidy warehouse (maintained on a daily level).
* Maintain standards of health and safety, hygiene and security in the work environment and ensure stock is secured safely and securely.
Experience and Skills
* Minimum of 2 years’ practical experience in warehouse management.
* Forklift license desirable but not essential.
* Knowledge of legal (health and safety) requirements.
* Excellent numeracy and communicative skills both written and verbal.
* Knowledge of stock management system ideal but not essential.
* Outstanding people and performance management skills, including the ability to lead and motivate others, delegate work and explain requirements.
* Ability to work confidently, remain calm under pressure and meet deadlines and work within a team environment.
