Contracts Manager

We have been engaged by a privately owned, developing civil engineering contractor based in Greater Manchester to assist them in finding a Contracts Manager to join their business.

The key focus of the role will be to manage the site teams from a central office location. You will be responsible for quality, health and safety, labour, costs, etc… and will predominantly be based in the office. You will of course be required to visit site to ensure your high standards are being met as well as to meet with the client. The types of work this contractor is involved with include drainage, groundworks, RC structures, highways and general external works.

Being in this position between the Senior Management team and the staff will allow the right individual to take this position forward to that of Operations Director as the company continues to grow.

To be successful in your application you must be able to demonstrate a solid and successful background in civil engineering contracting, hold a relevant H&S qualification and be ambitious to progress and succeed. Given the size of the company and stage of development they’re at the person who takes on this role will have to be nimble enough to react to demanding client requests, technically capable enough to answer any problems from site, supportive enough to allow the teams to develop, and strong enough to ensure that all instructions are carried out correctly, first time.
