Salary: £36,000 per year

Operations Manager – Greater London (near Harrow/Edgware)

Reporting to the Managing Director

Salary to £36,000
Mainly office based with minimal travelling

Must have a background within the education sector, ideally having worked in a similar role for an awarding organisation or training provider.

Job Role:
To ensure that all operational cycles are being carried out according to procedures, that they are effective and continuously maintained and improved.
To make the operations of the business comply with internal and regulatory standards.
Develop new policies, procedures and undertake projects as required.
To run the HR function with a purpose to provide quality and competent staff.
Monitor, assist and support the work of the Academic, Support and Commercial teams and provide updates and status reports to the Managing Director.

Key Activities
Systems processes and compliance in accordance to regulatory requirements
Day-to-day management of activities and processes
Ensure compliance with company policies
Continually seek to improve existing processes without compromising quality of output

Other Office Duties
Administration – Responsible for all administration and general office maintenance tasks
Identify risks and manage issues

Human Resources
Day-to-day administration of the Human Resources function of a small team, including assisting with recruitment, inductions, coordinating appraisals, organising training & development and managing annual leave
Managing key performance indicators and motivating employees for better performance

Education, Experience and Skills required
Relevant Degree
Intellectual capacity to deal with a wide variety of challenging issues
Well-developed written communication skills and Confident in abilities with a can-do attitude
Ability to work independently, as well as collaboratively as part of research team
Able to manage competing deadlines, set prioritise and milestones.
Excellent attention to detail in work process and product
Ability to consistently identify possible issues/challenges and propose innovative and creative solutions
Proficient in using MS Office (esp. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher), E-mail (Outlook), Internet
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
A strong team player with excellent interpersonal and relationship building skills
Project Management skills
Excellent Management skills
Proven background in managing people and processes
Experiences in education will be considered as an advantage
