Position: Financial Controller 
Location: London 
Job type: Full time / permanent role 
Salary: £54,000 – £66,000per annum depending on skills and experience 

The Role: 
The Financial Controller / Qualified Accountant is responsible for ensuring that all essential finance processes are completed with efficiency and accuracy. 

Responsibilities: 
a) Manage all transactional accounting processes including purchase / sales ledger, payments / invoicing, credit control, quarterly VAT return and payroll. 
b) Reporting and control of weekly management sales reports, monthly management accounts, cash flow forecasts, annual budgets and final accounts for auditors. 
c) Provide timely information for day to day retail management, including forecasting stock turnover, tackling waste costs. 
d) Ensure accuracy of EPOS and stock management system, 
e) Maintain supply chain relationships to ensure the best pricing and optimum arrangements. 
f) Ensure arrangements are in place to manage franchisees. 

Essential Skills / Experience: 
a) Experience working within an SME owner managed environment. 
b) Ideally from a retail background with small, multi-site operations and numerous transactional requirements. 
c) Qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA), or qualified by experience. 
d) Year-end file preparation and reconciliation for presentation to auditors. 
e) Management reporting on past, current and future performance is essential. 
f) Interpret and communicate financial data to non-financial managers. 
g) Managing and motivating a small team.
