Our client has been supporting and working with the construction, civil engineering, geotechnical engineering and foundations industries for over 20 years, specialising in the hiring and supply of complete packaged plant and equipment from smaller piling rigs to a wide range of large / heavy construction plant and machinery. They also provide full site set up, installation, troubleshooting, commissioning and training assistance on delivery.

Due to continued growth and a significant increase in the number of plant and machines available for hire our client is now seeking to appoint a Fitter required to service and maintain various equipment from their main yards / depots in Essex and Hertfordshire. You will also travel to sites carrying out planned and reactive maintenance on a wide range of construction machinery and heavy plant. Candidates with experience working on any similar / allied plant or equipment are encouraged to apply for this challenging and exciting opportunity. You will also be required to carrying out servicing, inspection and repair of construction machinery and plant. You will be working on pneumatic, hydraulic and electrical systems, so a good understanding of all these areas would be ideal. The position will also involve keeping and maintaining reports, servicing records and other paperwork with a degree of accuracy and efficiency

To carry out this role successfully it will be beneficial if you have come from a heavy plant or industrial background i.e. mining, construction, earthmoving, fork lift trucks, HGV or ex forces etc.
