Salary: £42,000 per year

This role is for an iindividual from a technical estimating, design or delivery background within the M&E or construction sectors.

Due to the recent award of a number of significant projects, and a dedication to continued profitable, ambitious and long-term growth across the UK, our client is now seeking to appoint a Pre-Construction Project Manager.

The Role

* Own and oversee the pre-construction process for numerous projects

* Support the business on new projects bids and tenders

* Work closely with the Engineering and Operations teams to flag potential risks on new projects

* Ensure a smooth mobilization period from project award to works commencing on site

* Assist with the preparation of design documents

* Liaise and obtain quotes and estimates from supply chain partners

* Liaise with clients and contractors to schedule site visits

* Engaging with clients, attending client and contractor meetings, and submitting written weekly reports as required

* Support the process of on boarding new supply chain partners

The Person

* Ideally a technical estimating, design or delivery background within the M&E or construction stages

* Prior main or sub-contractor experience, or able to show a good understanding of all phases of the construction process

* Preferably you will have knowledge of pre-construction processes, however applications from delivery focused candidates will be equally attractive

* Manage and prioritise a demanding and varying workload

* Ability to interact sensitively with others

* Using computers and computer systems to enter data, or process technical information

* Pro-active, self-motivated and know when to seek guidance

* Ability to work alone and as part of a team to achieve common objectives

* A valid driving licence

* The successful candidate will display the correct attitude and behaviour, knowledge and effective communication to build good working relationships, and establishing and maintaining communication channels throughout the company
