Do you have customs experience within import and export of goods or a trade compliance background?
Our client is an internationally recognised company, who are looking for a UK Customs Trade Compliance Analyst to join the team.
They are ideally looking for someone with Customs experience – import and export of goods Internationally, or with a trade compliance background. You will be an excellent communicator; team player and hold a flexible in approach; can think on your feet, and are comfortable with changes; and priorities changing at short notice.
The role:
As a UK Customs and Trade Compliance Analyst, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:
Undertaking a wide variety of UK Customs and Trade Compliance related activities.
Completing daily customs entry processing (Import/Export/Transit) via SAP GTS for the Rugby EDC and in support of the manufacturing plants in a timely and accurate manner.
Daily communication with external logistics providers and Customs Brokers.
Collaborating with various local, regional and global business stakeholders to ensure compliance with Government and Customs regulations
Assisting in the continued development and support of the Clients Trade Compliance systems and programmes.
Conducting internal compliance audits and any associated post clearance activities required.
Experience Required
Experience in international trade is essential, including Customs activities, Incoterms 2020, Tariff classification and Customs valuation rules.
Experience of submitting Customs Import and/or Export declarations via stand alone Customs declaration software, ideally SAP GTS or other similar HMRC certified systems such as Descarte or Ricardo
Ability and flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and processes
Ability to function under pressure: manage workload and maintain due dates.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:
Experience of working in a SAP Customs self-filing environment, completing import and/or export declarations via GTS is highly desirable.
Good standard of education is required – A-level qualification or equivalent to include as a minimum GCSE Maths and English
Professional training in Customs matters by a recognised organisation such as Strong & Herd, BIFA etc
Pay rate: £18.08per hour
Hours: 36.5 per week
Location: Rugby
Contract duration: 12 months
