IT & AV Installation Technician – Permanent – London (NW 10)
ITR Personnel are recruiting for a new, permanent IT & AV Installation Technician in London (NW10).
IT Rentals specialise in providing Audio Visual, IT rental equipment and expertise to exhibitions, conferences and events nationwide. In an industry where presentation is everything, we are constantly looking to the latest cutting-edge technology to meet our clients’ high demands.
We are actively seeking a person to work as an Onsite IT & AV Technician based from the new, purpose built London Warehouse. Experience in a similar role is ideal, but if you have a passion to work within the events industry and you can demonstrate a background in technology/connectivity and the customer service skills and ability to perform this role, we would like to hear from you.
This role is primarily responsible for the installation of IT & AV rental equipment but also dealing with the return of hire equipment into the warehouse.
Primary responsibilities will include (but not be limited to):
• Travelling to on-site events, exhibitions, conferences etc to install IT and AV equipment
• Setting up equipment and potentially providing user support throughout event
• Packing up equipment after event
• Checking daily work using job board and computer system
• Picking and preparing equipment for jobs
• Loading and unloading of equipment transportation
• Maintaining hire equipment to rental standards
• Quality controlling prepped jobs
• Reporting any damaged or missing equipment

To be considered for the role, you have experience of:
Basic Networking, installation and linking up of AV Equipment including PA systems, TV screens, video walls, PC’s, Lap Tops, Apple Macs etc
You must have experience with MS and Apple products.

Whilst the core business hours will be 9:00 – 17:30, Monday – Friday it is essential that you are flexible and able to work additional hours as required. This would include early starts, late finishes and weekend work as and when required.
Exciting times are ahead for the successful candidate as career progression is on offer as this depot expands over time. Driving license is essential and you must be able to work unsupervised.
You will ideally reside near North Acton (NW10) as you will be a key holder and have to be able to react to the occasional call outside of normal working hours.
