Salary: £26,000 – £27,600 per year
A rapidly expanding Berkshire-based business group is looking for an experienced roofer or similar to join it’s Gutter Cleaning/Repair and Installation division. The position will involve providing the above services to a high standard and with excellent customer service. Expert use of ladders is essential and your ability to work with people is a must. You will play a key role in the development and growth of this expanding part of the business.
Tasks will involve working at heights and travelling from location to location so a driver’s license is essential. Your working hours will vary but will normally be around 7/8 hours a day, 5 to 6 days a week Monday to Saturday on a shift basis, with a start time normally between 7.00 a.m. to 8.00 a.m. Our employees are our main assets and therefore we pay people a good wage that includes a very reasonable bonus scheme. A company van & equipment will be provided during the working hours.
Role and Responsibilities
• Cleaning and clearing gutters as per daily job sheet
• External cleaning of fascias & guttering
• Quoting for repairs & installation work based on clients requirements
• Quoting for cleaning & clearance work based on clients requirements
• Taking payments & liaising with office staff for bookings
• Recognising opportunities for upselling & increased customer satisfaction
• Liaising with office team regarding purchasing & ordering parts as required
Key Attributes
• Experience working at heights either previously as gutter cleaning operative or roofer
• Expert ladder skills & experience of working with scaffold / harness work
• Must be in good physical condition
• Full Clean driving license and a good driving record (Note: For us to be able to insure you on our commercial vehicle it is important to note that must be over 21 years old
• Honest and trustworthy with a positive attitude
• Able to work on own initiative and recognise opportunities to improve the customer’s experience
• Well presented and polite
• A good work ethic
Salary: OTE expected to be between £26,000 – £27,600 p/a depending on experience
Hours: 5-6 days p/wk (Mon-Sat shift basis)
Start time may vary but usually between 7-8am
