Senior Negotiator / Buyer

Our client whom specialise in making and developing private label prepared foods for the top global grocery retailers and well-known international foodservice operators are seeking a Senior Negotiator /Buyer

The purpose of this position is to manage procurement resources so that the business’ supply costs and exposure are minimised whilst supplier performance is maximised.

To apply for this position you must have:

Proven track record in Buying with a minimum of 2 years experience.

Strong negotiation skills with the ability to both risk and financially assess supply options.

Uses their knowledge of the business and customers to anticipate needs and then take them one step further.

As a key procurement point of contact, has the necessary gravitas to influence middle and senior managers within the business.

Ability to demonstrate sound business relationships both internally and externally.

Is persistent, confident, up-front and challenging when dealing with suppliers.

Has supplier respect and confidence.

Strong commercial acumen supported by the competent use of tactical purchasing and contracting tools.

Has the ability to translate business issues in to purchasing solutions in a timely and effective manner.

Is able to lead a procurement category on behalf of the wider Group whilst maintaining local focus.

Persuasive influencer with good communication skills via multiple mediums.
