A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Senior Staff Nurse / RGN to join an exceptional team in Guildford.
About the role:
We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic, motivated senior staff nurse / rgn with experience of ITU/HDU settings. Working as part of a small team you will be expected to take charge of the unit and have the ability to use your own initiative and experience in relation to clinical decision making. Our varied caseload includes Hepatopancreatobiliary, Colorectal, Gynaecological and Upper GI Surgery.Reporting to the HDU Sister, you’ll be part of a multidisciplinary team.
Nursing qualifications, skills and values:
Essential:
As a nurse or practitioner registered with the appropriate governing body, you’ll have the qualifications required for registration.
Desirable:
A qualification in teaching and assessment is preferred, as is a professional management qualification, such as NVQ level 2 or 3. Immediate Life Support is preferred and Advanced Life Support is desirable.
You’ll have experience of multispeciality surgical procedures, plus further professional training, experience and, preferably, a qualification in a specialist area. You’ll also have excellent clinical skills and experience of being in a mentoring role.
You’ll be an excellent communicator and team worker – flexible and motivated.
