Location: West Midlands (South)
Salary; Up to £72,000per annum

Leading footwear retailer based in the West Midlands is recruiting for a skilled Senior Buyer with specialist experience in footwear. As well as having huge amounts of autonomy, reporting to the CEO to ensure the success of the department within the business, it also offers the potential for growth, working within an established team in a successful business.
Ideally you will have experience of own brand and branded product across footwear buying, working with wholesalers in the Far East.

The Role
• You will oversee a budget of £12million per annum,
• Develop and plan commercial footwear range driven by customer insights – own brand and branded product Category management from range plan to trading performance
• Grow and maintain margin in line with company strategy
• Understand the market place, target customer and key competitors
• Maintain and build relationships with current and future UK branded suppliers
• Work with Far East and European factories and wholesalers
• Source new suppliers Manage effective supplier negotiation
• Work with merchandise team on logistics of Far East and European buys Control internal & supplier critical paths achieving initial plan in terms of delivery and product
• Work closely with Marketing to ensure brand support is in place and key messages are highlighted each season
• Support Ecommerce with product development Leadership Management of Junior Buyer and Assistant Buyer Manage day to day running of the buying department
• Accountable for presenting ranges
• You will also work closely with Marketing to ensure brand support is in place and key messages are highlighted each season as well as category management from trade plan to trading performance.
