Senior CAE Engineer job. Providing FE / FEA / CAE expertise to major automotive / vehicle research, design and development programmes. Modelling and analysis activities using finite element methods to support component and vehicle design and development. Salary: £54,000 – £66,000as a guideline.

The job will involve:
• Fantastic opportunity to support major vehicle research, design and development programmes with FE / FEA / CAE expertise.
• Undertaking modelling and analysis activities using Finite Element (FE) methods to support component and vehicle design and development.
• Build, analyse and correlate FE models, including design refinement and optimisation
• Undertake NVH and durability assessment of a variety of structures, principally automotive
• As a Senior Engineer you will oversee modelling and simulation work packages undertaken by junior colleagues and partners – good opportunity to mentor developing engineers.
This job will suit:
• A CAE Engineer / Simulation Engineer with good experience of fatigue assessments using FE models.
• Exposure to CAE software tools such as NASTRAN, ABAQUS, HyperWorks or similar..
• Familiarity of a range of automotive / vehicle structures at component and vehicle level would be beneficial.
• You are likely to be degree qualified in a mechanical engineering, automotive engineering or similar engineering, science or mathematics based discipline.
