Salary: £26,400 – £30,000 per year

The Position:
You will work with external 3rd Party database programmers and multimedia programmers during the system life cycle – initial analysis, implementation, integration, testing, debugging and support. You will also work closely with internal IT project managers, designers and other creative specialists to understand the design concept and advising on how it can be implemented technically within constraints;
This role would suit a recent computer science graduate provided that you have the technical skills and some hands on experience.
• Mapping out the conceptual design for a planned database in outline;
• Setting out operational logic and business rules necessary for the
features to be reproduced correctly according to the designer’s
specification;
• Considering both back-end organisation of data and front-end
accessibility for end-users;
• Creating and linking databases to the user interface so that information
can be retrieved,
• Updating, repairing, modifying and developing existing software and
generic applications.

• Writing HTML/CSS/Javascript or similar input and using authoring
packages where appropriate to create content and effects;
• Running tests of the application to identify bugs that need to be dealt
with;
• Solving problems by re-writing the code or adding new code that works
around the problem
• Providing technical support to an application once it is running and
making further adaptations, patches or rewrites to the code;
• Researching and keeping abreast of emerging technologies in order to
be able to deliver the most up-to-date solutions, including learning new
programming languages or technologies.
The Person:
You will have:-
High level programming and related technical skills along with ingenuity and creativity;
• A logical approach to problem-solving
• Analytical capabilities;
• The ability to work under pressure;
• Attention to detail;
• Multimedia design skills utilising Adobe Creative Suite;
• Communication skills – including the ability to convey information to non-
technical colleagues in a concise and understandable way;
• An understanding of business processes and constraints.
This is a temporary contract for a minimum of 3 months at £26,400 – £30,000per hour with the very real possibility of a permanent role being offered to the right person. The permanent salary if a permanent job were offered would be in the region of £26,400 – £30,000 per year. This is a tremendous opportunity for someone with a relevant degree (Multimedia Computing perhaps) and some practical knowledge to get into a position where they can utilise their skills and gain exceptional and invaluable experience working alongside like-minded supportive team members.
