SMB Commerce Business Development Manager

The Digital Commerce team is one of the four Digital business units within Telefonica UK. Our role is to help our business customers know, engage, sell and serve their consumer customers smarter via services such as O2 Wifi (the UK’s largest public wifi network with >10m registered users), mobile advertising & mobile payments (via Weve JV and charge-to-mobile), Smart steps (working with TDI) and interactive messaging. We generate close to £120 m revenue a-year and are tasked with delivering double-digit growth. Can you help us grow our business lines further?

The Commerce Business Development Team is a new team created to look at 3 key areas:

Market development: how can we take existing propositions and develop them for new customer segments?
Product development: how can we extend existing products for existing customers?
Diversification: are there new segments that we can develop propositions for? Are there new products/propositions that we can develop and drive new revenues from?

Small & Medium businesses (1-2000 employees) are embracing Digital commerce at a rapid rate. As the SMB Commerce Business Development Manager you’ll be responsible for identifying and developing new propositions for the Digital UK commerce team to offer SMBs based-on insights to drive new revenues. You’ll work closely with the Sales teams to prove the concept of offers and scale these propositions to develop material new revenues. Ideally we’ll expect you to be a highly driven and results focussed individual who has extensive experience in analysing SMB insights and developing SMB propositions. An excellent influencer, you’re able to take responsibility for developing new revenue streams.
