We’re looking for a talented After Sales Engineering Project Manager to work for our client.
They want to recruit someone with demonstrable experience of working with customers to set up SLA’s based around contractual agreements and if appropriate by mutual agreement offer an enhanced service to obtain extra revenue.

The Role:
The After Sales Engineering Project Manager role is based out of my clients Cannock head office. Reporting to the Sales Director and covering the UK & Ireland region, you will be primarily responsible for taking a lead role in heading-up the company’s after sales service support team by way of meeting the requirements of the after sales engineering projects function, as this is newly created role within the company to better meet the needs of all it’s customers, but principally those relating to ‘key’ and ‘flagship’ projects and that we are expecting to increase.
In the job you’ll be tasked with the following:
– Setting achievable goals & objectives for this business function in line with management expectations
– Producing and implementing project plans
– Providing technical advice to clients directly or engage colleagues when necessary
– Acting as the interface between sales, production and engineering departments regards technical requirements and equipment deliverables

The Candidate:
The ideal candidate for this After Sales Engineering Project Manager role will have relevant experience of working with customers to set up SLA’s based around contractual agreements and if appropriate by mutual agreement offer an enhanced service to obtain extra revenue.
You’ll also need experience of:
– Organising and experience of supporting large (£1.0million+) technically based projects
– Setting key performance indicators (kpi’s) and critical success indicators (csi’s) as well as meeting those set as a result of the businesses overall goals and objectives
– Allocating labour (technical) resource and spare parts meet project SLA requirements and when required other service demands, outside the normal warranty service
– Creating a process to successfully handover responsibility to customers when this is required for product/system support as this is sometimes necessary due to the nature of the contract
In addition, you’ll need excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills and strong interpersonal skills to maintained good relationships with customers & key supplies.
The ideal person for the role will be the following:
– A person who can work alone, and as part of a team; or even take a lead role in organising a small team, when necessary
– Experienced in a customer facing role and be willing get mobilized with a reasonable timescale
– Able to adapt to new ideas and work methods
