Commercial / Legal Manager

MASS delivers services and solutions that improve the security, efficiency and effectiveness of electronic and computer based operations. We develop and integrate technically challenging electronic and software systems and undertake innovative research work as well as supporting customers with managed services, consulting and training.

Operating mainly in the Defence and Security markets, we also serve education clients. We are seeking an additional Commercial Manager to join our team because of increased activity in these areas.

The successful candidate will have experience of Defence contracting with MOD, Defence Primes and overseas governments. Review of contract requirements from a legal and commercial perspective in order to provide advice to staff and liaise with existing and potential customers and suppliers to reach agreement.

The role will involve:

Review of contract requirements from a legal and commercial perspective
in order to provide advice to staff and liaise with existing and potential
customers and suppliers to reach agreement.

Understanding technical proposals and the commercial impact of these
within the overall contract.
•
Drafting and agreeing confidentiality agreements, licence agreements,
teaming agreements, consultancy agreements, etc.
•
Review of contract documentation including supplier sub contract
agreements.
•
Commercial support and advice to the operations teams for proposals,
contract negotiation, pricing and day to day management of customer and
supplier agreements.

•
Support for the business

The role requires the successful applicant to hold a UK Security Clearance.

Software: MS Office
