Application Support / Application Support Analyst / Application Support Engineer / SQL / Transact SQL / ERP Support / 1st and 2nd Line application Support

Application Support Analyst- Cathcart Associates is working with a niche technology consultancy in Glasgow to help find a crucial new employee. You will have a strong background in 1st and 2nd line Support, focusing on applications / software, and be looking to further your career within the Application Support arena.

You will be responsible for solving a range of front line customer support queries for a suite of business solution software. As such you should come from a technical support background (1st line and 2nd line), have a strong work ethic and excellent communication skills on the phone and in person. Training on the products will be provided, however, you should have experience in:

** Technical support of application / software environments

** A good understanding of SQL / Microsoft application technology – SQL Scripting etc

** Experience with Database reporting tools, Crystal Reports, Business Intelligence Tools and / or ERP Product support would be ideal

** Business acumen, industry experience and above all an ambition to develop a career in Application Support

** Knowledge of ITIL Processes would be a distinct advantage
