Senior Analytical Chemist

Our client is looking for top level Senior Analytical Chemists to join their team in Northern Ireland to perform, monitor and accept accountability for all assigned analytical duties.

The responsibilities of the Senior Analytical Chemist will be:
-Develop and validate analytical methods
-Perform routine analytical testing including stability testing, chemical development activities and release testing for both non-GMP and GMP projects
-Ensuring that all techniques and work are carried out correctly and within budget
-Take responsibility for the provision of all analytical activities associated with projects and ensure they meet quality expectations and timelines.
-Be responsible for the generation, training and adherence to analytical documents: methods, specifications and SOPs
-Retain an up to date knowledge of analytical techniques and equipment
-Manage unplanned deviations and ensure the corrective or preventative action (CAPA) is completed in full and to agreed timeframes
-Assist in generation of new SOPs relevant to the laboratories
-Prepare and present analytical data to customers

The ideal candidate for the Senior Analytical Chemist will have experience in the following techniques:
HPLC, Gas Chromatography, NMR, IR/UV, Mass Spectrometry, Karl Fisher as well as being competent with wet and bench chemistry skills.
The successful candidate will also have:
-Experience supporting APIs and pharmaceutical development either directly or with a CMO/CRO
-A degree or above in relevant subject
-Previous supervisory experience also desirable

In reward for the above responsibilities you will be provided with an excellent salary, a large holiday entitlement. This position for the Senior Analytical Chemist requires 40 hours per week (Mon –Fri) with the core hours being 10am till 4pm.
