Estimator = Steelwork

Salary: £42,000 – £48,000 per year

Our client is a steelwork fabrication business based in Northamptonshire that specialize in secondary and architectural steelwork. They now require an experienced Estimator to join their busy team. This is an excellent opportunity to join an expanding company with a salary of £42,000 – £48,000on offer to the successful candidate.

Estimator role:

• Receiving enquires.
• Reading drawing/Specs and doing material take offs.
• Produce estimates and quotes for the full content of work (materials, fabrication, install).
• Producing estimates directly from consultant / engineers drawings as well as from drawings and lists produced by the drawing office.

Estimator requirements:

• Solid experience working as an Estimator working within the steelwork industry, both secondary and architectural steelwork would be preferred. However, Estimators from construction or engineering disciplines with steelwork knowledge will also be considered.
• A minimum requirement of 4 years working as an Estimator is required.
• Must have a good eye for details and be an effective communicator both written and verbally.
• Must have excellent Microsoft skills, i.e. word, excel. Any experience using MIS software, such as StruMIS / Fabtrol etc. would be useful but by no means essential.
