Salary: £30,000 – £36,000 per year

Bailey Streetscene are one of the UK’s leading street furniture manufacturers, supplying high quality outdoor solutions primarily to the construction industry. With two manufacturing plants based in Cheshire and Lancashire, the company has a combined 40,000 sq ft production facility, where it creates premium street furniture – from seats, litter bins and benches, to walkways and canopies.

Their products are used within a diverse range of sectors including Education, Local Authority, Commercial and Retail to New Build and Regeneration Projects.

As an Operations Manager you will be tasked with ensuring jobs run smoothly from production, packaging and delivery through to on site installation where applicable:

* Day to day planning of shop floor work
* Managing shop floor operatives
* Planning driver deliveries
* Liaising with suppliers to ensure goods arrive on time
* Dealing with quality issues both internal and external
* Managing sub-contractor installation teams
* Site visits before and after installations
* Working as a team with the other companies within the Bailey Group
* Day to day general enquires/ issues
* Relieving the operations director of certain duties
* Taking control of all line jobs ensuring a smooth order process
* Working closely with estimating & design team to fully understand each job
* Put in place KPI’s for shop floor quality, deliveries etc
* Be involved in implementation of ISO 9001 & EN 1090
* Be involved in implementation of CRM system

An ideal Operations Manager will already have experience of working in a fast paced operations role, preferably within a manufacturing or construction setting. As an ambitious high achiever, you relish a challenge and work tirelessly to ensure you get the right result for your customers and your team. With a positive outlook, you have a firm but diplomatic communication style in order to secure co-operation from various associates (colleagues, clients, supply chain partners) who all contribute to a successful end result:

* Able to spot errors, identify trends and establish the casual chain in operational problems
* The ability to resolve unforeseen problems calmly and efficiently
* A desire to continually learn and develop professionally

Finally a knowledge of management systems and tools such as kaizen/ total quality management 9TQM) / Flowcharts would be desirable but not essential.

In return you will receive £25,000 -£30,000 dependent on experience with rapid progression based on performance.
