Youth Support Worker

We are recruiting for reliable, qualified and experienced Youth Support Workers for our client in West London working for one of the largest organisation providing support to vulnerable individuals.
The ideal candidate must have previous experience working with young people, hold a current CRB and hold a NVQ level 3 in Health and Social Care and ideally a qualification in youth work.
Please note, that only experienced Youth Support Worker will be considered.

the successful candidate will be working shifts 36 hours a week. Working hours are between 8am-10pm including weekends.

This position starts immediately, no notice available so please only apply if you can start immediately and have the experience required.

Working as part of a team, you will be have personal competencies such as decision making, communication, experience in case management and proven interpersonal skills to provide an effective professional service. You will need to have relevant experience working with young people in a residential setting in housing support/project worker role. A formal qualification NVQ 3 in Youth work or Health and Social Care related qualification and the ability to lead group sessions. Computer literacy and the willingness to work some unsociable hours will be essential as is a genuine concern for homeless people and a knowledge of welfare benefits.

You must have a good attendance record and be of smart appearance. You will have an excellent level of education in English and able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. Good computer skills will be an advantage. The abilities to keep accurate records, have a good telephone manner, relate well to clients and to be an integral part of a team are essential. You will also be able to handle aggression and difficult people effectively and be honest, trustworthy, and able to work within the Christian ethos of our client.
