Workshop Labourer
This position is based in Glasgow.
Our client is a provider of Powered Access equipment – we rent to Facility Management and Construction contractors, having locations in Glasgow, Aberdeen and Manchester. We provide hired equipment for some of the UKs largest companies in industries such as shipping, construction, education, health, councils, oil & gas and many more.
Main Attributes:
*Clean driving license
*Mechanical experience a benefit
*Mechanical Qualification a major benefit
*No insurance claims (either professionally or commercially in the last 5 years)
*Have IPAF licence (a benefit) – we can provide training
*Experience with handling Heavy Plant (a benefit)
*Prefer some experience with Powered Access operation
Responsibilities:
*To safely clean/power wash a fleet of Powered Access equipment to a very high standard
*To prepare rental equipment by topping up engine oils etc. and other fluid levels for engineering inspection.
*To maintain a high performance for reliability for our customers
*Loading/Unloading heavy machinery onto HGV
*To communicate clearly
*Be Computer or tablet literate
*Positive attitude to adapting to daily changes in jobs to increase efficiency
*Have a good manner on the telephone and in front of clients
*Overtime is as and when required
*Shift work can be seasonal due to customer demands
40 hours a week, 8am-5pm with occasional late finishes to 8pm/10pm.
Monday to Friday with flexibility to cover occasional weekends.
Duties are primarily to repair, inspect, maintain and prepare all equipment for hire.
Candidates will also interface with customers, providing machine handovers, explanations of downtime and familiarisation when required so friendly and personable skills are essential
Candidates will commence work each day from the Glasgow depot and will cover all locations within Scotland and on occasions UK.
