Welfare Reform Officer

MMP Consultancy are looking to recruit a Welfare Reform Officer to work on a long-term temporary contract based in London.

An exciting opportunity has arisen working with an established Housing Provider based in London. You will be responsible for providing a comprehensive welfare advisory service to the organisations tenants.

Responsibilities:
Conduct financial assessments of tenants current circumstances, providing specialist welfare and benefits advise in order to maximise income
Provide assistance with the process of claims including the completion of benefits forms
Establish strong working links with LA Housing Benefit departments

Ideal Candidate:
Strong Housing background ideally within Welfare and/or Income
Previous experience of advising and conducting assessments on Housing Benefits/Pensions
Good knowledge of current Housing and Leasehold legislation and how to apply this in to everyday scenarios
