Welder Fabrication Technician

based in Peterborough on an ongoing temporary basis. With structured evaluations and performance reviews our positions also offer opportunities for personal development and recognition in your role.

As a Welder Fabrication Technician you will be required to:

Welding – Oxy/Acetylene, Arc, MIG, TIG, Silver Soldering & Brazing, Horizontal & Vertical with Stainless Steel, Aluminium, Cast Iron & Pipework
Gas profile & Plasma cutting
Fabrication / Sheet metalwork – reading drawings, marking out, cutting & assembly, bending & forming
Works in a safe manner & wears correct PPE. Considers the safety of others around them
Be self-motivated and have ability to work with limited supervision

Suitable applicants will have:

Essential

NVQ Level 3 / Time served Apprentice background or equivalent qualification
Ability & Experience in all aspects of Welding & Fabrication, Installation
Ability to read Engineering Drawings

Desirable

Background in a Manufacturing environment
Driving license, recognised forklift license, would also be an advantage

As a Welder Fabrication Technician you will receive:

28 days holiday, rising to 33 days after 12 weeks service (inc. public Hols)

Normal working week is: 39 hours per week, Monday to Friday, Day shift.
