Weigh Room Operative

Salary: £14.4 – £24 per hour

We are currently seeking a Weigh Room Operative to join our client’s team.

As a Weigh Room Operative, you would have previous experience working within a food manufacturer or a similar role and is able to work a 3 shift pattern on a rotational basis. 

As a Weigh room operative, some of the following duties are required. 

• Follow recipe batch sheets to ensure all stages of production are to correct specifications.
• Weighing and mixing of batches, this includes lifting heavy bags and containers whilst ensuring you are meeting customer specifications and quality standards. 
• Weekly stock takes, maintaining stock levels, stock control, and stock ordering and rotation. 
• Reduce wastage to ensure quality standards are maintained. 

Skills and Experience: 

• Able to follow recipes and instructions accurately. 
• Good communicator, motivated, and work well within a team, able to be flexible where required. 
• Mechanical aptitude.
• Passionate about the success of the company. 
• Logical-minded with good problem-solving skills. 

This role is working on a 3 rotational shift, so candidates need to be available to work on a rotational basis and ideally have their own transport due to the client’s location.
