Senior Web Developer (PHP or ColdFusion) – Woking – upto £30k Dependent on Experience
A creative and forward-thinking web development company who provide accessible websites and intranets using their own CMS and CRM products would like a passionate Senior Web Developer (PHP/ ColdFusion) to join them and enjoy the growth and success with them.
Senior Web Developer main duties and responsibilities;-
The successful Web Developer will be experienced in coding using HTML5, CSS3, Javascript and PHP/ColdFusion.
Read and Write technical specifications.
Fix software issues and code irregularities.
Perform code maintenance, testing, and analysis.
Implement software or product enhancements.
Develop web applications and features by means of diverse computer programming languages (Javascript, JQuery, SQL, ColdFusion, HTML5)
Train staff and customers.
Discuss requirements and issues/enhancements with customers in a clear, professional approachable manner.
Give technical feedback.
Work with quality assurance teams to improve testing.
Complete project assignments accurately and on time.
Work well with other (particularly non-technical) staff.
Web Developer skills and competencies required;-
The candidate should be intuitive and display a creative and independent mind-set, whilst enjoying working as part of a team.
The candidate should have an excellent knowledge of relational databases (MySQL, SQLServer)
Server-side language (Coldfusion and/or PHP) MySQL and web server administration e.g. IIS.
Experience of developing.
Experience of testing web development.
Excellent problem solving skills.
Communication skills to be able to discuss requirements within the team
Ability to work under pressure.
Exposure to e-commerce development
Working knowledge of how a design would work in code XHTML, CSS, Javascript and jQuery.
Working knowledge of web standards and web accessibility to be put into practice when creating websites.
Web Developer Desirable Skills;-
ColdFusion 8 /9 – Development Experience/Knowledge.
Implementation and configuration of websites within a Windows (IIS 6/7) and UNIX (Apache 2+)
Knowledge of content management systems.
Knowledge of coding for search engine optimisation (SEO).
Previous experience of working in a client-facing role.
