Waste Services Development Officer

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Waste Services Officer with experience in public sector environments to work for a large Service Provider in the South West of England.

This is a full-time role based in Gloucestershire working alongside a Local Authority. You will be responsible for developing new strategies and business ideas to improve and streamline the existing Waste Services provision across the council on the Provider’s side.

This is a superb chance to build on your existing skills & experience by developing innovative ideas in which a Provider can improve the services being delivered to their client. You will be a key member of a growing organisation, reporting into a passionate Finance Director with an ambitious plan for future developments.

It is essential that you have had past experience either Client or Private side within a Local Authority. Additionally you will have an understanding of current Waste Policies and Legislations within a Council environment. Being at least an associate member of the CIWM would be extremely desirable. Finally holding a NEBOSH diploma or equivalent would give you a distinct advantage when applying for this role.

The council is easily accessible by both car and public transport with excellent links with the surrounding counties.

The initial role is a 3 month interim position with a view of becoming a permanent member of staff.
