12 month fixed term contract for a proven and experienced warehouse / Stores Person with experience of high level stores work ideally in an aerospace environment but not essential

Job Purpose:
• To manage the movement of materials according to aerospace industry practices.
• To maintain very high levels of stock control and integrity and to support the activities of company manufacturing and development requirements.

Scope:
Working as part of a team producing high standards of work to support manufacturing in their fulfilment of our customer commitments

Key Responsibilities:
• To ensure the company is in receipt of all production material ordered
• To ensure all goods are inspected/verified against delivery documentation.
• Store and retrieve production material and ensure excellent standards of location control are maintained and lot/serial is traceable.
• Identify and issue production material against production and repair works orders.
• Identify and issue material to meet development and other non production requirements.
• Ensure all goods are despatched against customer sales orders.
• To maintain high levels of stock accuracy through annual stock takes, daily cycle checking, and by promptly reporting discrepancies found during daily activities.
• To investigate stock discrepancies to resolution
• Work to company and aerospace industry standard procedures
• Ensure that all documentation is up-to-date and completed in accordance with company procedures
• To actively contribute to improvement initiatives, and make recommendations where appropriate, to maintain high levels of control and efficiency.
• To maintain the high quality standards that our customers expect.
• Effectively plan and organise your daily tasks
• Ensure that your skills matrix is up to date
• To be flexible across operations and undertake work in accordance with your skill set
• There may be additional activities to perform from time to time in order to maximise the contribution to company goals and objectives

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
Essential
• Experience in working in a stores or warehouse environment
• Able to follow instructions
• Demonstrates good attention to detail producing consistently high quality work
• Adaptable and flexible approach to their work
• Experience in managing their daily key activities to achieve timescales to quality
• Good communication skills both verbally and in writing
• Experience of liaising with internal and external customers
• Works effectively with others
• Proactively able to manage own work to in order to achieve objectives
• Use own initiative within the scope of the role
• Plans work and delivers on time
• Seeks solutions to problems encountered
• Makes timely decisions within the scope of the role
• Demonstrates a “Can do” positive attitude
• Good application of Microsoft packages and relevant software for the role

Desirable
• Has worked in an Aerospace Organisation
• Has previous knowledge of ERP/MRP systems

Qualifications:
Desirable
• ONC, City and Guilds or equivalent qualification in a technical discipline
